Volunteer at the Atlanta VA
What: Volunteer at the Atlanta VA! All you need is a PIV badge, even if it is not currently active (used for entrance to the building, and we will get it re-activated if needed for your activities). We plan on having multiple non-clinical projects that the VA needs assistance on during this pressing time.
Current projects that need help:
- Helping occupational health call and answer phone calls from exposed and/or concerned employees
- Helping occupational health track employee exposure and PUIs
- Helping surgical departments call patients regarding follow ups and appointments
- New projects to be added soon!
Requirements: Some experience on clinical rotations, VA PIV Badge
Where: Atlanta VA Medical Center
When/duration: While most projects have flexible time requirements, they all expect some commitment on the part of the student as they will require some training.
