Volunteer with Grady’s Fresh Food Cart
Thanks to a generous gift from Humana, Grady is able to expand the Fresh Food Cart from our Brookhaven clinic to two new Grady clinics during this crisis. We will be doing monthly Fresh Food Carts at Asa Yancey and Ponce/IDP in May, June, and July.
We’re looking for about 10 volunteers for each. The dates and times are listed below. Please sign up using the link for each clinic. Thanks for your help!
- Asa Yancey: May 6, June 3, July 1 (9:30am-1:30pm)
- Ponce Center: May 20, June 17, July 15 (9:30am-1:30pm)
- Brookhaven: May 13, May 27, June 10, June 24 (10:30am-2:00pm)
The Atlanta Community Food Bank, Open Hand Atlanta, and Grady are bringing back the true purpose of food. To fuel our bodies and bind us together as a community with a renewed focus on health and healing. Now you can be part of it!
Volunteer at our bimonthly Fresh Food Cart located at the Grady Brookhaven Health Center. Help us address food insecurity by providing access to healthy foods for Grady’s most vulnerable patients and their families. Volunteers will sort, and pack, and distribute food directly to patients.
The next clinic date is May 13.
Volunteers must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be able to lift at least 20 pounds
• Stand for the duration of the event
