Mercy Care also has a tremendous need for meal kits. No donation is too small or too big. See below for more information.
Mercy Care is calling for health profession student volunteers to aid in this process. The student role includes traveling to designated sites, alongside a provider (MD/NP), to carryout prescreening of COVID-19 signs and symptoms of those experiencing homelessness. All direct SARS-CoV-2 testing will be completed by the provider.
Student volunteers specifically help in setup – e.g. setting up tables and tents – and takedown, as well as symptom screening. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided appropriate to the setting of the student.

2. Proof of health profession school attendance (scan of school ID is sufficient)
3. Immunization records, including flu shot and PPD
THEN: Sign up here for your shift; schedule with locations also attached for your reference. Please note, this volunteer opportunity may not be in guidance with your school’s stay-at-home policy. As such, this requires the understanding of risk as well as taking all precautionary measures for health safety and protection of others. This volunteer opportunity will preclude you from volunteering as a babysitter or being around others to whom one may pass along COVID-19 for at least two weeks from the last volunteer day, barring any COVID-19 signs or symptoms.
Meal Kit Donations
We do have a tremendous need for meal kits. Please share the flyer with as many people as possible. The drop off location is at Mercy Care Chamblee clinic – 5134 Peachtree Road, Chamblee GA 30341. There is a donation box outside the back door of the building that is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Monday through Friday. No donation is too small or too big.
